The Real Truth about Zoos
This is an injustice. These animals have to act tricks so they don't die starving and are injected chemicals that calm them down so we, the people don't notice how much they suffer, when they take them apart from their families. It is not only animals of the sea like for example, in 2010, a CAPS undercover filmed how animals were left to starve inside their cages and how when an animal died, they left it to rot in its cage on the Tweddle zoo.CAPS had to take rabbits and many other animals to the vet to be treated to survive. Some weeks later they also impounded a monkey who was given cake and more junk food instead of bananas and fruits to keep it healthy. In the Woburn Safari Park they kept lions on little enclosures for 18 hours a day, so safari are no better than zoos or any other place related to these.

Sea Shepherd
SEA SHEPHERD

Sea shepherd or The cove guardians is a charity that also helps these poor dolphins. They explain how Taiji people capture cetaceans. This charitable institution explains that even though it is beautiful, this picturesque town has a dark secret...The blood and suffer of the dolphins they capture for no reason!Even tourists don't notice they are swimming in the deathbed of innocent beings. This demonstrates that whale and dolphin captures have been ocurring now for a very long time.It has been done for centuries except for drive hunting that was started to occur in 1970.It is argued that by the fishers that commercial hunting is an ancient practice, even though they still do it and practice non-important things killing these high-intelligence animals that have'nt done anything.

Animal Profile--Orca
I know that Orcas may seem dangerous, and actually, they are!But they are animals and we have to respect them.Would you like that someone came a day and stole everything important in your life?Well, millions of orcas feel like that everyday,so lets save them and make the world a better place!
Orcas (Orcinus orca) are toothed whales (Suborder Odontoceti), also known as killer whales. They are found in all the world’s oceans, living in waters ranging from tropical to arctic, and both coastal and deep oceanic waters. Orcas sometimes enter estuaries, but never venture far from the sea.Orcas have a single blowhole. They are social creatures and live in close-knit, life-long pods of about 30. The killer whale belongs to the family of dolphins and is the biggest dolphin. It is sometimes called the 'wolf of the sea' because its predatory behavior is similar to that of wolves.Orcas grow to be about 8-10 m long, weighing more than 6 tonnes. The male orca is larger than the female. Unlike most dolphins, the pectoral fin of an orca is large and rounded.Their skin is mostly black with distinctive white patches. Orcas have stocky bodies and a rounded head with a distinctive beak. An average-sized orca will eat 250 kg of food a day. Orcas are efficient hunters that eat a very diverse diet of fish, squid, sharks, marine mammals (including seals), turtles, octopi, and birds (penguins and gulls). They use a range of methods to hunt their prey, including tipping over ice floes to unbalance seals and penguins.Orcas can dive to a depth of 30 m in order to hunt. Orcas are very fast swimmers and boast a variety of elaborate surface habits, including spy hopping, tail and flipper slapping, and breaching.Orcas are well known for their mental capabilities. Studies have indicated that an Orca has an outstanding memory, perhaps even photographic. In tests conducted with Orcas in captivity, they recalled testing patterns up to 25 years after they were initially conducted. They are sometimes referred to as blackfish, a group including pilot whales, pygmy and false killer whales, and melon-headed whales. The orca or killer whale is a toothed whale that is an efficient predator. Their only enemy is mankind. Orcas were targeted in commercial whaling during the middle part of the 20th century once stocks of larger species had been depleted.Although Orcas are not an endangered species, some local populations are considered threatened or endangered due to pollution, depletion of prey species, conflicts with fishing activities and vessels, habitat loss, and whaling.

Top facts about dolphins and whales!!
TOP FACTS!!
Dolphins
- There are up to 40 species of dolphins that live in oceans. Most of them live in shallow areas of tropical and temperate oceans, and 5 species apart from those, live in rivers.
- Dolphins are actually carnivores.Fish, squid and crustaceans, are included in their list of prey.A 260 pound dolphin eats 33 pounds of fish.
- Dolphins are highly intelligent. They are smarter than apes, and the evolution of their brains is becoming similar to ours.
- Dolphins are part of the whale family, including orcas and pilot whales.Killer whales are actually dolphins.
- They live in social living groups and these groups grow up to 1,000 dolphins in each one!!
- Depending on the species, gestation takes nine to 17 months. When they are born, dolphins are suprisingly maternal and mothers have been seen cuddling their calves.
- By it's first birthday, a dolphin chooses a 'signature whistle' that functions as it's name.
- Dolphins have acute eyesight both in and out of the water. They hear frequencies 10 times the upper limit of adult humans. Their sense of touch is well-developed, but they have no sense of smell.
- Dolphins have few natural enemies. Humans are their main threat. Pollution, fishing and hunting mean some dolphin species have an uncertain future. In 2006, the Yangtze River dolphin was named functionally extinct.
- Because dolphins are mammals, they need to come to the surface of the water to breathe. Unlike land mammals that breathe and eat through their mouths, dolphins have separate holes for each task. Dolphins eat through their mouths and breathe through their blowholes. This prevents the dolphin from sucking up water into the lungs when hunting, reducing the risk of drowning.
- Many whales are toothless. They use a plate of comb-like fibre called baleen to filter small crustaceans and other creatures from the water.
- There are 79 to 84 different species of whale. They came in many different shapes and sizes!
- A baby whale is called a calf. Whales form groups to look after calves and feed together. These groups are often made up of all female or all male whales.
- Whales that are found in both Northern and Southern hemisphere never meet or breed together. Their migration is timed so that they are never in breeding areas at the same time.
- The arched lower lip of a whale can often make it look like it is smiling! However, this isn’t a “real” smile as the blubber in the head of the whale prevents the muscles of the face from reaching the surface.
- You can tell the age of a whale by looking at the wax plug in its ear. This plug in the ear has a pattern of layers when cut lengthwise that scientists can count to estimate the age of the whale.
- Whales love to sing! They use this as a call to mates, a way to communicate and also just for fun! After a period of time they get bored of the same whale song and begin to sing a different tune.
- Sometimes whales make navigation mistakes during migrations. Although they may have made the mistake days before, they don’t realise it until they becoming stranded.
- Whales support many different types of life. Several creatures, such as barnacles and sea lice, attach themselves to the skin of whales and live there.
- The Blue Whale is the largest creature ever to have lived on earth. Their tongues alone can weigh as much as an elephant. Their hearts, as much as a car.
